Vi conobbi Dolomiti
sotto il mutevole cielo
al caldo, al gelo
e coronate di stelle.
Vi amai Dolomiti immortali
cuspidi, pinnacoli, torrioni
come favolosi castelli,
come grandiosi cattedrali.
Udii fragore di torrenti,
canti di sciatori
e sui fioriti pianori
lo scampanio delle greggi.
L’ululato dei venti
udii nella tempesta furiosa
e soave come carezza di sposa
l’alito della brezza.
